The Source prides itself on delivering award-winning journalism and telling the truth—no matter how it makes you feel. Our theme is to provide: Information, Education & Therapy.

Information: It is essential that you receive true and accurate information, regardless of its source or how it makes you feel. Too often, newspapers and media outlets fail to tell the truth about issues affecting our communities daily.

Education: We aim to educate you, and for you to educate us, so together we can strengthen our communities. We also seek to inform political and community leaders so they may better serve the public and improve the services you need most.

Therapy: Healing the body, mind, and soul is part of our mission. Your feedback and opinions are just as important as the stories we publish.

We, The Source, hereby take this oath: to put truth to paper and power behind truth, no matter who we may offend. We will listen, investigate, report, and demand answers from those who serve our communities. We will value your opinions and encourage the exchange of ideas, but we will never waver from the truth.

The Source maintains a comprehensive and dynamic moving image library, licensing premium news, sports, and investigative content. We collaborate with other newsworthy agencies, including the Associated Press (AP News), Canadian news sources, and European partners. The Source provides access to a diverse and compelling collection of visuals that capture the essence of global events and narratives.

We are committed to delivering the news—regardless of who is involved or how the truth unfolds. Truth, power, and knowledge are what we want you to gain after reading our stories.

Our staff is comprised of journalists from around the world. We offer a highly competitive journalism internship program in partnership with journalism schools nationwide, including special programs with HBCUs and other universities. We are committed to giving future journalists the opportunity to tell and share the truth with Americans.
